Connecting with the water
Cheekpoint Boat Owners Association (CBOA) was formed in the Autumn of 2018 and is made up of a group of local boat owners, all from various different backgrounds but with the same common interest, boats, the river, and the nearby open sea.

The association currently has approximately 30 members and growing.
Our main goal is to improve how boat owners can safely go to and from their boats.
So far, we successfully obtained the necessary permissions, funding, and supports to install a 63-meter floating pontoon from the main quay at Cheekpoint.

Other areas within the harbour such as an improved slipway for launch and recovery of boats and the provision of a series of visitor moorings within close proximity of the pontoons are very much in our plans.
